REBECCA MORENO

Brazilian director and cultural producer. I was born in São Luís of Maranhão but grew up in the interior of Bahia, in Tremedal. In 2018, I graduated in film and audiovisual and recently I I started a Master in Multimedia Arts at Faculdade Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. My first work as a director, screenwriter and editor was 'lençol branco', a graduation project, finished in 2020. The short film was shown at the 24th Tiradentes Film Festival, FEST New Directors l New Films, Caminhos do Cinema Português, and Curta Cinema Festival. I also work with cultural production in events in cinema and music. In 2020 I co-created, produced, and curated the Mini Webfilm Festival, a festival that proposes to create a diffusion space bringing visibility and exchange to small audiovisual productions. Still in Brazil, I worked in other music events like Love/Paranoia, LuminariaSound. In 2021 I was invited to be part of 1/4 Club, an electronic music collective based in Lisbon, where they produce their own events and curate artists. In Portugal I have worked in film festivals such as doclisboa, as a volunteer and in IndieLisboa as part of the Communication and Marketing team.
